PARK STAGE

The Jim Beam Park Stage is located in the iconic Waitangi Park. This is the biggest stage at Jim Beam Homegrown and has played host to all of the biggest bands in New Zealand. The 2023 line up of acts on this stage is huge! Party in the park with the Wellington cityscape in the background. Golden hour is truly something to behold. Grab your buddy and give them a big squeeze as you feel the absolute vibes this stage delivers all day long.

L.A.B

L.A.B is a genre-blending powerhouse, fusing reggae, electronic, blues, funk, and rock into a distinct and captivating sound. Their impressive track record includes five platinum albums, 17 platinum singles, and 12 gold singles, with standout hits like 'Why Oh Why,' 'Controller,' and 'In The Air.' Releasing an album annually, their fifth album, L.A.B V, stormed the charts at Number One, marking their second chart-topper. Unstoppable and internationally focused, L.A.B's latest single 'Take It Away' paves the way for their sixth album as they conquer stages across the US, UK, and EU throughout 2023, solidifying their position as one of New Zealand's most industrious musical acts. KORA

Hailing from Whakatane, the Kora brothers formed the band Auntie Beatrice, winning Rockquest in 1991 and the East Coast Battle Of The Bands. Their 2004 Volume EP established them as a top live act, followed by their platinum-selling debut album "Kora" in 2007. "Light Years" (2012) and "Carolina" (2016) further cemented their status. After a break, they returned in 2020 with "Secret Lover" and released more tracks in 2021-2022. Festival performances have solidified their legendary reputation, and we are honoured to have them return for 2024.

Over the past decade Stan Walker has become one of Aotearoa’s most loved figures. His success as a New Zealand performing artist across such a variety of mediums is unparalleled. Not only has Stan earned nine Gold and nine Platinum singles as well as one Triple Platinum album, two platinum albums and two gold albums in New Zealand. He has collected eight New Zealand Music Awards along the way and five ARIA Music Award nominations. He has won the Waiata Māori Award for Radio Airplay Record of the Year five times, in 2010, 2011 and then 3 consecutive years in a row from 2013 – 2015.

NZ Reggae band 1814 have been performing their take on Kiwi flavoured Reggae since 2004 and have travelled extensively throughout New Zealand and Australia.1814 have performed at major festivals around New Zealand and Australia and we are excited to have them join us at Jim Beam Homegrown 2024.

RUBI DU 

Auckland's renowned reggae artist, Rubi Du, is making waves in New Zealand and overseas music scenes, touring successfully with Fat Freddy's Drop. Formerly known as SilvaMC, she shines as the Queen of New Zealand’s roots and dancehall, impressing with her vocal prowess and electrifying live performances. Combining her Caribbean heritage and Rastafarian upbringing with kiwi roots, Rubi Du brings a fresh perspective to NZ music, setting the bar high for South Pacific reggae and dancehall to come.

DJ SIR VERE

A hip-hop pioneer always in demand and at the forefront of the movement, learning secrets from the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Jim Master Jay and DJ Premier. Its all or nothing with this guy who helped transform Mai FM into one of the biggest radio stations in NZ. DJ Sir Vere made the Queen's Birthday Honours list for his services to music, awarded Officer to the NZ Order of Merit!
