ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Jim Beam Homegrown is kiwi music’s biggest party and New Zealand’s national day of coming together and celebrating who we are through our music! The festival brings together thousands of New Zealand music fans and a massive lineup of Aotearoa’s best bands and DJs in the capital to celebrate who we are through our music. From roots and hip hop to rock, pop, electronic, and drum & bass, there’s something for everyone!

Jim Beam Homegrown is unique in that you can come and go from the festival at any time with our free flow stages dotted across the beautiful Wellington Waterfront, allowing you to enjoy everything the capital has to offer. At Jim Beam Homegrown everyone is treated with respect and Aroha; nothing is a problem, and every effort is made to ensure your day is as enjoyable as possible.

Every year demand for tickets increases with new record sell out numbers. Make sure you get in early and secure your tickets to avoid disappointment.

Liquor Ban Areas - Wellington waterfront

All stages have their own bars. If you are 18+ you can enjoy a beverage and watch the bands.

Please note that when you leave the stages there is a liquor ban on the waterfront and neighboring streets and you could be fined up to $250. Finish your drink before you leave the stage and do not bring your own alcohol down to the Wellington Waterfront.

Please remember to drink responsibly and look out for your mates.

Are you under 18 years old?

Please be aware that if you are attending the event and you are under 18 years old, that this is a privilege and not a right. Your safety is our priority. All ticket holders under 18 must be registered on our database. If you do not register before the event, you will be refused entry at the gate. If you are found to have alcohol or have consumed alcohol, you will be returned to your guardian.

GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL

To get the most out of your day we would recommend getting to the festival as early as possible. We have some great acts scheduled up first. If you are staying in Central Wellington, allow around 10-15 minutes walk to the Waterfront. Parking is very limited so if you are coming from further afield, we would recommend using a rideshare app or public transport. Allow around 30 minutes to get through ticketing and security, depending on the time of day.

Ticketing is located at Odlins Plaza. This is where you can exchange your ticket for a wristband and gain entry to the festival.

ZERO TOLERANCE

  • Intoxicated people from drugs or alcohol will be refused entry.

  • If you are found with a fake or copied wristband will be handed over to the police. Homegrown will treat all offenses like fraud and will prosecute accordingly.

  • Anyone caught trying to bypass our security fencing and access the event without a legitimate wristband will be intercepted and handed over to the police. These offenses may be treated as trespassing or a serious security threat and you may be prosecuted accordingly.

  • Jim Beam Homegrown is an environment where all people come together and share love and respect for one and other. We do not tolerate agressive or nasty behaviour. Bring your good vibes only please.
