ARE YOU UNDER 18?
All people under 18 who buy a ticket to Jim Beam Homegrown must register their details on our database. If you do not register your details, you will be refused entry into the event. It's not a big thing and won't take long but we will need your basic details and a contact for a parent or legal guardian.
Why do we need this information?
The Homegrown festival is an R15 event, meaning ticket holders between the ages of 15 & 17 can attend without the accompaniment of their parent or legal guardian - however access for those under the age of 18 is very much a privilege not a right.
In the past few years, some 15-17-year-olds have been abusing the privilege and either turning up to Homegrown intoxicated, drinking alcohol outside the event or been seen with alcohol inside the event. This has resulted in several people calling for Homegrown to become an 18+ event.
We don't want that, and you don't want that... but if you are under 18 you need to play by the rules or you will not be welcome at Homegrown. Any sign of consuming alcohol before or during the festival will not be tolerated.
So please don't blow it... do you want mum or dad coming to pick you up before the festival has even started?
About getting registered
When you register it will create your personal 'Under18 Profile' which will allow smooth processing and much quicker entry when you get to Homegrown. YOU MUST ALSO BRING PHOTO I.D. or a birth certificate so we can sign you off the pre-registration list. Your ID must be one of the following:
Birth Certificate (copy is fine)
New Zealand passport (current)
New Zealand driver's license
Overseas passport (current)
Your information will be checked before the event and then matched when you swap your ticket for an event wristband at the gate. If you register false information you won't be able to get into the festival.
Thanks for respecting the rules and remember to bring your ID or you won't be able to get in
