All stages have their own bars. If you are 18+ you can enjoy a beverage and watch the bands.
Please note that when you leave the stages there is a liquor ban on the waterfront and neighbouring streets and you could be fined up to $250. Finish your drink before you leave the stage - and do notbring your own alcohol down to the Wellington Waterfront. Please remember to drink responsibly.
Things to bring to get the most out of your day
Your safety is our priority. Please be mindful that for security reasons, your bag may be searched as you move between stages.
· Prescription Medication (legal and clearly labelled)
· Phone charger and/or power bank
· Cash (enough for the whole day)
· Suitable clothing (it gets cold when the sun goes down!)
· If you have any chronic conditions or illness (i.e. epilepsy, diabetes, asthma) be sure to carry information regarding your condition & emergency contact numbers on you at all times.
Getting to the festival
To get the most out of your day we would recommend getting to the festival as early as possible. We have some great acts scheduled up first. If you are staying in Central Wellington, allow around 10- 15 minutes’ walk to the Waterfront. Parking is very limited so if you are coming from further afield, we would recommend using a ride share app or public transport. Allow around 30 minutes to get through ticketing and security, depending on the time of day.
For public transport around the Wellington region please go to www.metlink.org.nz . Intercity Bus Services - supports Carbon Zero. For more information on national bus services, schedules & bookings please go to www.intercity.co.nz
If you have any question about lost items, please see Homegrown staff located at Odlins Plaza, between Te Papa and the Macs Brew Bar- off Taranaki Street.
Dress for the day
New Zealand weather can be unpredictable. Make sure you dress in sensible clothing and suitable footwear.
