Are you Under 18?
All people under 18 who buy a ticket to Homegrown will need to pre-register on a special 'Under 18 database'. If you don't register and we don't have your details you won't be allowed into the festival.
It's not a big thing and won't take long but we will need your basic details and a contact for a parent or legal guardian.
The Homegrown festival is an R15 event, meaning ticket holders between the ages of 15 & 17 can attend without the accompaniment of their parent or legal guardian - however access for those under the age of 18 is very much a privilege not a right.
In the past few years, a number of 15-17 year olds have been abusing the priviledge and either turning up to Homegrown intoxicated, drinking alcohol outside the event or been seen with alcohol inside the event. This has resulted in a number of people calling for Homegrown to become an 18+ event.
We don't want that and you don't want that... but if you're under 18 you need to play by the rules or you will not be welcome at Homegrown. Any sign of consuming alcohol before or during the festival will not be tolerated.
So please don't blow it... do you really want mum or dad coming to pick you up before the festival has even started?
When you register it will create your personal 'Under18 Profile' which will allow smooth processing and much quicker entry when you get to Homegrown. When you get to Homegrown YOU MUST ALSO BRING PHOTO I.D. or birth certificate so we can sign you off the pre-registration list. Your ID must be one of the following:
- Birth Certificate
- Student ID
- New Zealand passport
- New Zealand driver's license
- Overseas passport
Your information will be checked before Homegrown and then matched at the event when you swap your ticket for an event wristband so if you put in false information you won't be able to get into the festival
Thanks for respecting the rules and remember to bring your ID or you won't be able to get in
Pre-Event Under 18 Registrations for 2018 and now open
If you have not pre-registered you will now need to do it manually at the festival. This will be way slower than doing it on-line.
