The Lab stage is located at Odlins Plaza and is a prime place to be with an intimate space for 1,000 people, tasty treats and access to Mac's Brewery and St Johns Bar....you may not want to leave!

Formed out of the ashes from one of Auckland's most musically-creative hubs, this 4 peice Yoko-Zuna have established themselves as one of the most exciting bands in NZ. Electronic and hip-hop compositions, and a live show which is rarely bettered, Sub-electronic frequencies, melodic moments & immense bass-synth fuelled drops topped off with some of the boys from Team Dynamite, Spycc and Bailey Wiley jumping on stage too for a mashup. Self-professed 'beautiful musician/actor' this clever, charismatic & funny as hell singer/songwriter will grace us again with her talents and we are stoked about that! With a long list of accolades to her name, Anika Moa sings like an angel and swears like a trooper. If you haven't already, make sure you check out her video interviews she does for The Herald, she's hilarious and she's interviewed many of our favourite artists. Watch 'Running'
Skinny Hobbs, a 2-piece alternative rock band from Auckland make far more noise than any 2 people should. Their performance is described as mesmerising; you'll be sucked in! Supporting US bands Radio Moscow & Kings Destroy, along with kiwi's Shihad, Villainy and Blacklistt; Skinny Hobos are certainly getting amongst it. Watch their single 'The Merchant of Tirau' and you'll understand why we had to have this fresh act on the bill.
P Money WENT OFF at our last Homegrown and he's back to smash it out again. He is the man! Only a handful of DJ's can create both a great live mix and produce amazing original songs, move a dancefloor in the smallest club & knock out a mainstage festival set of legendary proportions. He has opened for the likes of Public Enemy and 50 cent and DJ'd alongside some of the world's finest. P Money has skills & talent to burn. Listen 'The King'
Team Dynamite channel late 80's hip hop & according to their FB profile their music sounds like it was made for summer. It makes board shorts actually look cool and it's the kind of music that makes you wanna hug the bus driver because he opened the door for you. Lyricists Tony Tz and Lucky Lance have a mad chemistry and musically the sound is driven by Haz Beats who has the smoothest flows. Check this one out 'Very On' and see what ya think.
Onehunga rap team SPYCC & INF believed to be the masterminds orchestrating music that makes people 'feel good'. The duo understand things like 'emotions' and their personal encounters aided the composers to skillfully embody and evoke emotion to whomever is exposed to their music. Also from Onehunga beatmaker and producer SmokeyGotBeatz, who's been getting the attention from LA hip hop heads will be joining the stage. Listen to 'Midnight Groove'
Mikey Mayz emerged into the music scene with a fresh, organic blend of Neo-Soul, R&B and Hip Hop. Having had a busy year releasing 3 singles, Mikey collected the 'Phil Fuemana Award' for most promising act. His writing ability,
far beyond his years not only reflects his romantic nature but expresses a positive perspective on life. Sesh will be jumping on stage with his extensive word play and beats. Listen 'Bring you own' feat. Sesh and Sid.

Each stage has a limited capacity and during the day access is on a
first come first serve basis.
Tickets to Jim Beam Homegrown are strictly limited and we're keeping numbers down to try and make sure everybody can see the bands they want to see but if you've got a favourite band it can't hurt if you get there a little early.
